Hiệp hội những người sử dụng phần mềm tự do nói tiếng Pháp - AFUL (Association Francophone des Utilisateurs de Logiciels Libres - AFUL, in French) tại Pháp đưa ra sự hỗ trợ của mình cho Quỹ Tài liệu bằng việc đóng góp tài chính cho việc thành lập thực thế pháp lý tự quản có trụ sở tại Đức này.

The French Speaking Libre Software Users' Association (Association Francophone des Utilisateurs de Logiciels Libres - AFUL, in French) offers its support to the Document Foundation by contributing financially towards its set-up as an autonomous legal entity based in Germany.

AFUL furthermore encourages all users of free software, especially governments, citizens, communities and associations, to donate to the Document Foundation in order to ensure its sustainability.

The Document Foundation provides a sustainable framework for public and private stakeholders who wish to participate in the development of the LibreOffice (previously known as 'OpenOffice') suite. The creation of its legal entity constitutes a major step in developing an ecosystem structured around an ODF (Open Document Format) file format, which is an essential element for interoperability and a true choice in the office suite domain.
